National Population Register
NPR

The NPR is a comprehensive identity
database to be maintained by the Registrar
General and Census Commissioner India,
Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of
India (RGI). The objective of creation of the
NPR is to help in better targeting of the
benefits and services under the government
schemes, improve planning, improve
security and prevent identity fraud.
The Government of India has initiated the
NPR by collecting specific information of all
usual residents in the country during the
House listing and Housing Census phase of
Census 2011 during April 2010 to Sept 2010.
Tera Software having its Datacenters for NPR
in 4 States is covering the population of 44.02 million.

SOCIO ECONOMIC AND CASTE CENSUS - 2011

The Ministry of Rural Development has been
conducting a Below Poverty Line (BPL)
Census since 1992 which is done through
State Govt/UTs Administration generally
at the beginning of Five year Plan. The basic
objective of this Census is to identify the
families living Below Poverty Line in rural
areas of the country, who could be assisted
under various poverty alleviation programs
being implemented by the ministry.
Now the Government of India has decided to
conduct the Socio Economic Census for
rural & urban areas along with Caste Census. Tera Software got Service contract for
Data Collection On Door to Door Basis
For 120 Crore Population.

MAHARASTRA STATE SALES TAX DEPARTMENT

Tera Software Ltd. in consortium with
Electronics Corporation Of India Ltd.(ECIL) has bagged the order from the Maharastra Sales Tax Department for automation outsourcing, which includes the designing of IT, architecture,
execution of outsourced process and application software development and maintenance.
The value of the order is Rs.1.25 Billion.
